Buttons, Buckles and Bows
Pearly Queen Costume. On loan from Birkenhead Operatic Society Trust Our first exhibition for 2009 is an Open exhibition on the theme of Buttons, Buckles and Bows. We have nearly one hundred paintings, ceramics and needlecraft works on display created by over thirty Merseyside artists. Also on display is also a large collection of buttons donated by the people of Merseyside, information about the history and development of buttons and various costumes on loan showing the use of buttons. The Exhibition is open from the 10th to the 26th February between 12am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
