Bravo

The objective of this exhibition is to heighten awareness of breast cancer and the support that is available.   Did you know that this year is the centenary of the invention of the bra as we know it today? Lily Centre Logo It has ranged from the frivolous to the armour plated. It has been designed to cover, protect, enlarge, decrease, push up and push in - all in the name of fashion and beauty. Forty years after the ‘burn our bras’ revolution women are still buying them in the millions. Our latest exhibition - a collection of bras of all shapes, sizes and fabrics from all sorts of people (including some celebrities), art work and advertising— is in aid of The Lily Centre, Liverpool’s breast cancer support organisation, which will benefit from the proceeds.

We also have a number of bras from various celebrities including Petula Clark, Joanna Lumley, Linda Lusadi, Maureen Lipman etc. which will be auctioned at the end of the show.
