Eight independent Liverpool artists demonstrate their different skills and styles. The exhibition features paintings, mixed media, sculpture and textiles portraying a range of styles including naïve, figurative, representational and abstract.
The exhibition will open Monday to Friday between 12 and 4 pm from Tuesday 3rd until Friday 13th October . For details on how to get there see How to Find Us

Jan’s work is very strong and bold with interest in what goes on in the world. She has exhibited with the LAA in the past and we are pleased to have her here again |

Chris started painting after her retirement and says that it is very much a hobby. She likes still life and landscape and uses oils, acrylics and gouache. |

Past work has included images inspired by the lyrics of musical theatre. Recently Janet has studied abstract art and is hoping to develop her understanding of this. |

Self taught she prefers the mediums of oils and pastels. She likes to visit far off places and paint her memories when she gets home. It’s her full time hobby. |

What I like to do is experiment with all kinds of fabric, paper, feathers, wood and diamante in fact anything that will add to a dramatic finished work. s my background was in fashion and theatrical costume people say this shows in my work which I think is best described as Decorative Art. |

Marie is an abstract artist working mainly in acrylic on canvas. Current influences are the solar system, global warming and the effect of climate change. |

My theme for this exhibition is based on my fascination with the sky at night together with my artistic interest in shapes, patterns and lines. I am also fond of cats, but they feature here mainly to demonstrate how a simple motif can be developed – from cheerful, eye catching designs to complex and intricate abstract images. The challenge is in capturing the mysteries of the universe on a small piece of material, and in creating a new universe from a small shape. I wonder what the cat thinks of all that? |

Sue’s techniques are a combination of hand and machine stitching, appliqué, batik and beading. They take a lot of time to create as you can see as you look at the detail in the work |
