Our first exhibition for 2006 opened on the 7th
February and is, as always, an open exhibition. The theme this year is ‘Musical Instruments’. However we wanted a contrast to the more popular themes of soloists, groups, orchestras etc. where the focus is on the people and music making rather than the instruments themselves, so we asked artists to produce a still life having as a central theme a musical instrument or instruments with no people in the composition.

To add to the atmosphere of the exhibition we have included a number of real instruments, old and new, obtained from local musicians and societies.

The exhibition will open Monday to Friday between
12 and 4.00 pm from Tuesday 7th until Friday 24th February. For details
