Exhibition Picture Sea
Liverpool

As this is the ‘Year of the Sea’ we though that we would present an exhibition about our own waterfront. Above you can see a picture of just part of the exhibition.  Click on it to see it full size.

Firstly we asked artists from Merseyside to paint and sculpt their idea of the history of the river Mersey. We asked them to produce works, which include any aspect of the river’s maritime history – The docks, the ships, the events in its long history, its association with the Merchant and Royal Navies. The response has been wonderful, and we have received some marvelous art from these very talented people.

Secondly, to add to the atmosphere of the exhibition, we also collected various pieces of memorabilia, maps and photos etc. which we are showing alongside artwork.

Open Monday to Saturday 11.30 - 4pm until 15th July.

Below are some sample pictures frm the exhibition. Just click on an image to see it full screen.
