People who have been affected by mental health problems are invited to enter work into the exhibition this could include anyone from mental health service users, to carers, friends, family, colleagues, mental health professionals etc etc. NIHME has estimated that 1 in 4 people experience some form of mental health problem in any one year so, as expected, we have had a large number of entries in a deverse range of media and of exceptionaly high quality.
The works were judged by Peter Grant from the Liverpool Echo (our major evening paper) and Peter Price the presenter of the night time chat show on BBC Radio Merseyside. After much soul searching, and it must have been difficult because the quality was so high and the styles so varied, they came up with the seven works shown below.
