Photographs By Freddy Tornberg

Freddy Tornberg, from Denmark, is both a film producer and director in demand all over Europe and a well-established book illustrator. However as a young man of 23, when he was just starting on his career, he set off on a world tour starting in Ireland. In 1968, leaving Ireland to make his way to London, he crossed over to Liverpool where he took the photographs in this exhibition. He came back 12 years later but found the city so changed that he couldn't find the places captured in his photographs. See if you agree with our guess at their location

The exhibtion is sponsored by the Danish Cultural Institute

The exhibition will open Monday to Friday between 12 and 4.00 pm from Tuesday 14th until Friday 31st October. For details on how to get there see How to Find Us

Below are some sample pictures from the exhibition. Just click on an image to see it full screen.
