Brian Carver and Lee Chong are two artists who explore their psyche on the same canvas. Without any pre-conceived ideas of composition or subject matter they experiment with the techniques of painting in order to communicate the hidden aspects of memory and the sub-conscious. Using the “weapons”of colour and texture two completely different mind sets “battle” over the surface of the picture. It is these clashes which make the images vibrant dynamic, whole and unified.

Lee Chong, a graduate of Manchester University, has been painting for fifteen years. He is inspired by the American punk rock sub-culture and artists such as Appel, Jorn, Averbach, Ayers and Rae.

Brian Carver is a recently self taught artist for whom every painting is an adventure in self expression through the discovery of colours, textures and technique.

The exhibition will open Monday to Friday between 12 and 4.00 pm from Tuesday 30th April until Friday 10th May. For details on how to get there see How to Find Us
